Graffiti

During our stay in Los Angeles I posted a question on Google+ about finding some cool spots to shoot Graffiti in LA. Now let’s make one thing very clear…. you can find the most beautiful graffiti all over Los Angeles, but often the more concentrated areas are easier to shoot due to the always time pressure, and LA has some very concentrated areas. In this blog post I share a few of my favorite shots from a few of those places.

For me personally graffiti is art.
Some people might disagree but when you look at the real large pieces I think it’s hard to say that it’s not art. I also like the tags you see popping up everywhere but for me that’s more to create a more gritty look to my images I take on the street, I don’t see those as art.

The first time we visited LA a few years ago I actually took up my interest for graffiti, and I’ve been looking for the larger art pieces ever since when I visit a large city, but to be honest I’ve never found them as big and impressive as in LA.

I think is a great form of art! I love graffiti and where I live here in Bristol (UK) they are quite common since Banksy is from Bristol! Very beautiful shots…I like them because you put other stuff in the frame and not only the wall it self. If you want to see some Bristol graffiti (I would be very pleased) here is my post http://www.psimoduloquadro.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/graffiti-tour.html Next time I’ll try to insert other elements in the frame like in your shots. Thanks for posting 😉
