First quick preview Milessa

A few days ago we did a live streaming session from our studio with the session with Milessa.
Milessa was very nice to work with and I have the deepest respect for her, because maybe you don’t see it in the images…. but she is only 12 years old !! so that promises to be a great model in the future.
I’m not 100% done with the images, but wanted to give you a quick peek today.

Christianne new images

Last Friday it was the first time for me to teach the new workshop Studio Technique I.
During the year I always rewrite my workshops, add new images and some new techniques/tips etc. however with workshop I there was a huge change and it’s always exciting to teach a workshop I’ve been doing for many years in a totally new form, and to be honest it rocked. Over the years the workshop was updated of course but with the rewrite I took a completely different approach for the first workshop, it’s still the same theory but in a more practical way explained with more examples and stories behind the images.

In this blogpost some images from this workshop with Christianne.

Social media quick links

During a google plus hang out someone asked me my Google Plus account.
A while ago I made the following link : https://frankdoorhof.com/+  which will forward you directly to my google Plus account, somehow a lot of people don’t know how to do this so I thought maybe a little blogtip was in place.

It’s actually very easy to do if you have access to your web server. Just make a new directory called + and in that place a redirect file and that’s it.

<html>
<head>
<title>A web page that points a browser to a different page after 2 seconds</title>
<meta http-equiv=”refresh” content=”0; URL=https://plus.google.com/118026639398463272784/posts”>
<meta name=”keywords” content=”automatic redirection”>
</head>
<body>
If your browser doesn’t automatically go there within a few seconds,
you may want to go to
<a href=”https://plus.google.com/118026639398463272784/posts”>the destination</a>
manually.
</body>
</html>

Rename this as index.html and put it into the directory, and you’re done.

So I’ve done this for twitter, Facebook and google plus as :
www.frankdoorhof.com/+
www.frankdoorhof.com/t
www.frankdoorhof.com/f
But you can use anything you like of course, however this is easy to remember and for people to figure out.

Guestblog Aldwin Cusi

During the NIK competition we have been running over the last few weeks some amazing images came in, because I love street photography the following images really struck me and I decided it was without a doubt worth to have a guestblog on my blog, so here it is, I’m sure you’re gonna love it.

First, I want to express my thanks to Frank and his team for this AWESOME oppurturnity to be a guest on his blog. It is truly an honor, cause his amazing works and sharings of his knowledge has been an inspiration to me.

Hi! Im Aldwin Cusi, my passion for photography started 2 years ago as a hobby, right now I’m starting to venture into the business side of it as a portrait photographer, I just love making pictures of people, their expressions and emotions are priceless and could never be repeated once that moments have passed so having made that picture and the knowing that your subjects loves it, is fulfilling whether it be clients, models, friends, relatives or even a stranger in the streets. As I have mentioned streets, I usually spend my free time going for a photo walk at Downtown Toronto, doing street photography, and still my favorite subjects are people, I like taking candid shots as their expressions are more natural.
