Styling

One of the things that is often overlooked in a photoshoot is styling.
One can argue that styling is often expensive and that a good stylist is hard to find, however I disagree. Yes a good stylist is very hard to find, however why not at least try it yourself. Daily I get images from photographers asking me how I like their images, and some images are indeed nice or even cool, often however they are in my opinion “not as good as they could have been” due to a lack in styling. Or in other words, great lighting on a great location but the model is standing there in just jeans and a top…. in this blog post a few pointers to do the styling yourself or with your model without much budget.

Stephanie and that “wicked” T&S lens

You all know my moto is “why fake it when you can create it”
And although I really love plugins and for example OnOne has a great selective focus plugin that works much easier than a real T&S lens, I still prefer to shoot with the real lens. So today a bit of information and tips when working with the T&S lens.

Light in light….. metering tip

During our trip to Vegas PSW I will of course keep you updated with small videos and photos and a few questblogs, however I will also start a new series with small and quick tips, I hope you guys forgive me that I won’t write long blogposts during these two weeks, but I will make sure it’s still very interesting to visit the blog every day.
