Being creative with light

Now when you are shooting images you’re probably always thinking… what can I let my model do, what background, what lens etc. but often people forget that you can also do some creative things with your light sources.
Take for example a ring light.
In this case a Ledgo unit.
You can use it the way it was designed.

But you can of course also do something else with it…

So the next time you’re working out ideas for a photoshoot, why not include the light source itself???
did you do something cool with your lights…..?
Post it below.

In todays episode it’s time for a special workshop.
The workshop on location in Emmeloord
In this workshop it’s the main idea to find stunning locations very close to your own home, so join us to two great locations where we shoot our model Lois in a summer outfit, a beautiful dress by Sinister and as …. Harley Quinn.

Why limit yourself to one color

When shooting with colored gels the effects can be absolutely awesome, but why limit yourself to just one color?
Or maybe even more….
Your own creativity is the only limit when you work with colors and lights.

In this case I used two sheets of colored gels and placed them between the model and the light source. It’s very easy to do and you can create some interesting patterns.

Workflow and HDD tip plus a photoshoot BTCD April 6 2017

In this episode of behind the closed DOORs I give you a very valuable tip for when you work with 2 monitors in Photoshop and want to see your images without any extra work on the second monitor.

I talk about my favorite harddrive for on the road.
We quickly test a new microphone plus we take you behind the scenes during a very special photoshoot (and show you the results).

It’s a jampacked episode I’m sure you’re gonna love it.
