Sweden : Bridges

I love bridges, maybe it also because I love the water, it always calms me (not that I’m wild when I don’t see water) and with water there are often also bridges, unless you want to swim to the other side.

Today some of the bridges I shot during our trip through Sweden.

In todays episode day 1 at Photokina

We look at the new Sekonic lightmeter, visit LedGo, hunt for the Sony A99II, visit Elinchrom, see a really cool cart for location work and much more….

Plus I taught 2 seminars for BenQ, busy day…

Sweden : Some weird animals…..

Annewiek always wanted to see some camels while we travelled, let me put it differently…
When we were in Dubai she hoped to see some camels, same thing when we were in Casablanca, but…. no luck…. even not in the areas where they were supposed to be, it sometimes felt like taking a cruise to see dolphins and being enthusiastic about a bag floating in the water because the guide said that COULD be a dolphin….. (we actually didn’t see any dolphins during that tour which was a REAL let down).

Anyway, long story short, in Sweden we managed to visit a so called Camel “farm” a small attraction park where you can ride a camel, and visit a small petting zoo, very adorable to say the least, now I’m not a fan of this kind of things but the guide (book) said the camels loved it here and were very well treated (and because I wanted to surprise Annewiek) we did visit the camel farm.

Today some of the images from the camel farm and also of the moose safari, which also was a “weird experience”
When we say Moose safari we expect a big park with moose, a bit like a small zoo, but (like many things in Sweden) this was totally different. The Moose safari was actually rather off road and when we arrived there were only a few cars, quickly we knew why 😀

There literally only was the Moose safari, we had to wait for 45 minutes after which we all got loaded on a tractor and we drove around a “small” area where there were several moose, young and older. A great experience to get so close to these animals and well worth the money and travel, so don’t get me wrong when I say “Like many things in Sweden” I actually mean this very positive. In other countries (including our own) things are often way to “commercialized” like it has to be bigger than big otherwise it can’t be fun, the problem is LONG waiting lines, HUGE entree prices, HUGE crowds etc. in Sweden it was very basic, you come for this… so let’s do it and thank you very much for visiting….. now you have the rest of the day left to do other cool things, I LOVE it.
Anyway, here are the shots 😀
