Because there are so many questions about the light meter, we shot a small video covering the basics.
And actually everything you need to know I think to start using the meter.

    Thank you Frank!
Can you please advise how to use the light meter in case of more than one light (setup with 2 or three strobes)?

You need to measure each light , by pointing toward each strobe. Example if you have 2 strobes one on each side of the model at 45 degrees. You measure each one by pointing towards the strobe. You then set them with a ratio, one at say f/8 and the other at f/11.

      1. Set he camera at f/11 in above if not mistaken
      Or
      2. Point meter toward camera for final results and camera setting, not sure if this is correct and based on 1 light measurement in Frank’s video item 1 seems like the correct camera setting.

If you have a 3rd strobe at it is used for say a hair light , I normally just go by what it looks like in the final photo as I shoot tethered to see instant results.

Ok now I finally understand why you set the meter to 1/10 th stops. I always use it on 1/3 steps thinking it was for the camera, not the strobes.

I will be doing a white BG setup soon and this video explained it well.

I dont understand why my meter (758DR), only measures in full stop increments with shutter speed when I have set to 1/10 increment f/stop readings. I want to use my full sync speed of 160th plus 1/10 stops…is it possable

If you use strobes you can just turn the dial to set every shutter speed you want. The Fstop will be mentioned as full F-stop and 1/10th that’s normal.
