Watsonville (Santa Cruz USA) here we come for an intense workshop
On July 15th we will be in Watsonville, Santa Cruz USA for an intense small group workshop with our friends from Rogue.
This will be a jam-packed day with loads of information on using small flash on location, both inside and outside.
Due to the small group there is a lot of time for questions and interaction, and of course you also get to shoot yourself. Although the gear used that day will be speed lights, the techniques are of course also valid for ANY other kind of light. If you want to learn more about model photography and working with the models, workflow, maximizing locations etc….. this is THE workshop for you.

“Mastering the model shoot” on URBEX location, August 20, Geertruidenberg, Brabant
Ook in 2016 gaan we door met workshops op geweldige locaties. Dit maal in de oude Dongecentrale in Geertruidenberg. Deze voormalige electriciteits centrale van Essent was in 1919 de eerste centrale van Noord-Brabant en heeft een enorme impuls gegeven aan de Brabantse economie. Het vloeroppervlak van alle gebouwen samen is 7.500 m2. Provicincie en onderneming Boei werken sinds 2015 samen om de herbestemming van dit cultureel erfgoed weer aan te sluiten bij de oorspronkelijke functie van het gebouw.
Met een kleine groep van maximaal 12 deelnemers gaan we geweldige platen maken in deze URBEX locatie.
De workshop:
Na de koffie beginnen we met een Q&A, hierin kan elke deelnemer laten weten wat hij/zij wil leren of wat voor problemen hij op locatie tegenkomt. Frank is ook nog nooit op deze locatie geweest en er zullen er al direct enkele ideeën naar voren komen voor de lichtopstellingen maar bovenal het “verhaal” dat verteld gaat worden met de foto’s. Een goede fotoshoot bestaat namelijk niet alleen maar uit mooie foto’s maar bovenal uit een verhaal dat de foto oproept bij de kijker.
Wat ga je doen?
* veel leren over licht, hoe je licht kan sturen, meten en vooral begrijpen.
* coaching en aansturen van het model.
* zelf fotografereren met natuurlijk licht en flitslicht (elinchrom Qaudra en Ranger) met verschillende modifiers.
* allemaal onder begeleiding, de gehele dag zal Frank aanwezig zijn om te helpen en tips te geven als jij fotografeert.
Tijdsduur van de workshop : 10.00-16.00
Eigen stoel meenemen. Eenvoudige lunch ingbegrepen.
