Bridges in Sweden
/in blog/by Frank DoorhofSomehow I’m always attracted to bridges.
In Sweden we did encounter some pretty nice bridges and of course I had to take some shots. One of the bridges I was especially looking forward to… the bridge between Sweden and Denmark.
I love the Scandinavian cinema and one of my favorite series is called “The Bridge” and the bridge between Sweden and Denmark has a “vital” role in this series.
So here are some of the shots I took of the bridges we encountered in Sweden.
And you can have some nice overviews from bridges of course 😀
Workshop and seminar in San Francisco
/in blog/by Frank DoorhofAugust 6th and 7th I’ll be teaching in San Francisco USA.
On the 6th there will be a seminar at night about both model and travel photography followed by a full day workshop on the 7th for a limited group.
The workshop will take place in a “gritty” environment and will of course be jam-packed with loads of information about model photography.
Topics will include :
Working with models (coaching and posing)
Understanding, metering and manipulating light
Natural light vs strobes and mixing them
Day to night with strobes
Strobes mimicking the natural light
Story telling
Styling
Using the light meter to really speed up the workflow
The differences between reflective and incident metering
Finding the right angles
Composition in a non standard way
Adding motion
And MUCH MUCH more….
The workshop will start with an intense Q&A in which you can ask whatever you want. These questions will be answered or/and be taught during the workshop. And if the workshop alone was not reason enough to register……. you can also shoot the latest Phase One cameras during the workshop and try them out for yourself.
Registration is now open via http://www.anpdm.com/newsletter/2831985/4446594B71494B5E4071
Hope to see you in SF
Campgrounds Sweden
/in blog/by Frank DoorhofWe love to travel with our RV and often we end up on campgrounds to spend the night.
A lot of people think that all campgrounds look pretty much the same (well at least we did) but there is a HUGE variety, in this series I show some of the vehicles, situations etc. we encounter and that strike us as…. well…. not as we expected, weird or just funny.
