Posing tip….

Books have been written about posing, so called posing guides… and although they might work for a base I always believe it’s better to do something really creative when you are working with your models. Often it’s not that there is a 123 solution that always works, every model is different and has different poses that work for him/her so try to approach each shoot with that in mind.

For example in this shot with Marie we choose for a pose not every model can pull off, and although it looked liked the posed very relaxed I can tell you that this is literally a split second shot, so time it correctly. but when you get it “right” you can end up with some pretty interesting results.

Final Finland images

Today the final images from our trip to Finland… hope I didn’t bore you guys with them 😀

We left Finland with a cold nose and a warm heart.
The people were amazing, Annewiek loved Reindeer (don’t ask) and the country was just breathtaking (and yeah I know I could have been even better).

We were guided by three great tour guides and both me and Annewiek would love to thank Matti, Vilhelm and most of all Kai (who arranged everything) for their time and friendship. You guys rock and made our stay so incredibly worthwhile.

So for today, enjoy the “left overs” or I like the term “extras” a bit more 😀

Finland to hell and back

One of the highlights without a doubt for us was the trip we made with our guide Matti to “hell and back”… and yeah it sounds pretty bad but in reality it wasn’t that bad, although I will not say it was an easy stroll in the park, but the place we visited actually was called this way.

Normally we don’t really care about a 2KM walk, in fact on average we like to walk for anywhere between 10-15km during travels, so 4KM was not that far we thought (2×2), well we didn’t take into the account the terrain to say the least. Imagine walking over a balance bar (but slightly wider) and when you place your feet beside the bar you sink down 40cm into the snow, now add some steep hills and some very long stairs where you can see the steps because they are all covered in snow or are frozen and you can imagine the fun we had….. yeah indeed we love this kind of stuff, I’m not the kind of guy that likes amusement parks or tourist routes. But wait there is more….

Finland you’re kidding me really?

During the walk with Vilhelm Sjöström we visited a new harbor and we spotted these.

Now when you look at this you probably don’t see anything wrong at first sight right?

But wait till you compare them with this shot.
