Personal Orlando update 4

Yesterday it was starting not so nice with loads of rain and some thunder.
We had a 2:15 hour in front of us so we hoped it would clear up a bit, and luckily when we arrived at our location it was clear.
Yesterday it was time to visit Eve.
I’ve know Eve for some time via Twitter (what a beautiful medium) where she asked me if she could paint some of my photos, when I looked at her work I didn’t have to think long and I told her to just go ahead, select what you need and make some art. And she did, I was blown away when I saw the first images of the paintings and we kept in contact over time, the last time I visited Orlando time did not allow me to visit Eve however we said to each other that next time without a doubt Eve would be on the program, never expecting we would visit Orlando this soon again. So yesterday we took the drive to the area of Gainesville.

Although Twitter and the internet are exciting media to meet new people online, it’s always a bit weird to meet those people face to face, you have build a certain expectance and it’s often totally different when you meet face to face. Somehow however we have always been lucky I guess because also Eve was a blast to hang out with. We started out with some drinks and visited Rambo (her Lama) and decided to drive to an very nice restaurant to have a late lunch.
After this Eve showed us around Gainesville and we looked at some work of the local photographer John Moran who had some amazing work displayed in a local walkthrough, we really enjoyed the images, so make sure you visit his site. Arriving back home I did a quick portrait session with Eve where I shot her on her workstation in front of the paintings, for personal use of course.

Today just some random shots from yesterday and a small video. Again these are just for fun and must be seen just as private stuff I share.
I loved this place we found on the way to Eve, we needed gas and found (for me) this weird combination of “gas and BBQ” so we could not resist and fill up there and take some shots inside the souvenir shop.

This pawn shop was located in Gainesville.

And a small video.
The driving material during the video is shot with the iPhone, not the gopro by the way.
We love the gopro especially when driving through the small towns with the many billboards (like all places over here :D)

P.S.-Watch out for speed bumps 😉
