Via Twitter the question was brought up what I look for in a portrait and what my approach normally is for a portrait. At first I thought that this would almost be impossible to answer for the simple reason that every portrait and every person is different. However after some thinking I came up with the following blog post.

Jessica was our model for the Advanced III workshop from last Saturday.
The Advanced III workshop is aimed at working outside and so it is that when the weather allows we will go outside and work with a mix of rangers or small flash. This time we choose for small flash.

I loved this question and I think it’s something that a lot of people struggle with.
A good shot should of course include expensive things, right ?
Well actually not……
At Photoshop world Orlando I met up with Rick and we immediately had a good connection.
When Rick visited me in the Netherlands to have some fun with Stephanie and visit Urk he interviewed me for his podcast, if you never heard it, check it out.
