Digital Classroom July 1

Today we finished the second broadcast of our digital classroom project.
In this project I try to bridge the cap between the videos and the normal workshops.
In the videos you watch and learn but in workshops you can have a great interaction with our team to ask whatever questions you want and I will incorporate that into the workshop and because we work with smaller groups during the workshops that is an even greater learning experience, but there was absolutely nothing in between so… we created “Digital classroom”.

In “Digital classroom” we stream live from our studio and I show different techniques on both lighting, working with the model and of course retouching (and much more). Now setting something like this up takes a lot of time and costs a lot of money so we are incredibly grateful to have the support of BenQ and Rogue as our main sponsors to make this possible, but also thanks to CameraNu.nl and LedGo we now have proper lighting on set (also not unimportant).

Because we use Google+ for the broadcast people can ask questions during the broadcast which (if possible) will be answered on the spot, another advantage is that as soon as the broadcast stops it’s available for those who missed it….. so here you go enjoy the “Digital classroom” from July 1st.
The next one will be on August 26.

MTM : The Light meter in 4K deluxe box

A few weeks ago we released our new video “Mastering the model shoot : The light meter”, a video jam-packed with everything you always wanted to know about the light meter but couldn’t find anywhere else.

You can order the download (29.95) from : https://frankdoorhof.com/web/shop-videos-etc/direct-video-downloads/
The 4K keep case (35.00) you can order from our store here.

The video was available as 1080P download from our website (here), but the video itself was filmed in 4K.
For people who don’t know what 4K is, it’s a very high resolution with loads more information than full HD, or in simple terms it simply looks awesome.

Next to the download release we also wanted a physical media release and the options were DVD or BD, but both don’t support the high resolution of 4K so we decided to do something completely new. After a lot of thoughts and tests we finally found a cool way to present this (and our future) video.

Guys (and girls) I’m proud to present :
“Mastering the model shoot : The light meter” 4K in deluxe box.

About our videos and a nice discount

A lot of people ask us about the instructional videos.
So I thought, let’s answer some of these questions here.

Why are they so cheap?
Well it’s simple, we want them to be available for everyone, we could very easily price them at $200.00 but I would rather reach a large group of people than just a few.

Is there a difference between your YouTube videos and what I pay for?
DUH of course, you really have to see these totally separate, if you already like our YouTube material you’re gonna love the videos, on YouTube we only show some backstage material and our podcasts but it’s all very basic and well… free. If we charge for something you can bet your money on it that it’s worth it, so in short HECK YEAH.

Are the older ones still valid?
Yes they are, I hate to repeat myself on videos so with each video we try to find new things to explain, this is also why there are different series, by the way we priced the older videos also differently so that you can see for yourself 🙂

What can I expect on the videos?
Oempf…..
A LOT
all the videos are literally jam-packed with information about model photography, like you I don’t like a video where you are watching a model pose for 15 minutes without any information, so we kept the scenes just long enough for me to do the voice over with the information…. this will mean you will hear me A LOT during the video so beware 🙂
