Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse in Jutland Denmark Part I
During our trip through Denmark one of the sites I really wanted to see was the lighthouse in Rudjerg Knude.
This lighthouse was a real lighthouse, even with restaurant and house but over time it’s literally overrun by the sand and it won’t be long before it will probably completely dissapear.
We actually went to the lighthouse twice, today I’m gonna share the images we shot during the day time.
This reminds me SO much of images I have seen of the old German ghost town in Namibia — Kolmanskop. Finding and visiting ghost towns is something I like to do when I have spare time.
It’s a scene I’m always looking for. But then again I love Urbex, grunge and …… different stuff 😀
Amazing. We were there years ago: https://500px.com/photo/52576046/lighthouse-at-rubjerg-knude-by-elisabeth-coelfen?from=user_library I did not know you can walk inside. I have actually had coffee there ages ago 🙂
It will not be there for a long time I’m afraid, it was already very close to the edge.
