Using an old window as a prop

I know a lot of photographers are looking for interesting things to “spice” up a shoot.
This can be a chair, a guitar etc….. but also think even more simple, what about an old window ?

We got this window from the local junkyard for little and it has proved to be an amazing prop that can be used in many different ways, this time we put our model Lenaa behind it, sprayed some water on the window and used a strobe from the back to get the final image you see here (shot during a glamour workshop).

Lennard

Now mostly you see images coming through this blog of female models… however that doesn’t mean we never shoot male models of course. So today some images from Lennard.

Lennard responded to a post from me on social media where I was looking for models for a character portrait, well to be honest the idea was to shoot just one portrait, but somehow we ended up with way more as you can image.

Time flies…….

Today it’s exactly 17 years ago that Annewiek and I said “YES” to each other.
On 7-7-’97 it was the start of something beautiful, some people marry their girlfriend but I married my soulmate, Annewiek always travels with me and to be honest I don’t even want to travel alone 😀

So Annewiek thank you for 17 amazing years, and up to another 17 at least.
This is one of the most recent head shots I made for Annewieks social media.

Results from the workshop in Dusseldorf

On June 28th it was time for the location workshop in Dusseldorf Germany.
The location was a stunning mansion (historic “Schloss Mickeln”  (1840)), add to this an amazingly creative model (Dae Joon) and some designs by our stylist Nadine and there you go…
If you also want to visit one of our location workshops, look at the top of the page and click on one of the banners 😀
