PhotoJoJo cool presents for Photographers

Small gifts for great photographers by Annewiek Doorhof

A few weeks ago I saw an add of PhotoJojo.com (Google knows my interests, mmm). This online webshop sells the most marvellous stupendous outrageous fantatabulous prodigious tremendous photography curiosities on earth. Really these are their own words. They have been mentioned in Scott Kelby’s online show The Grid a few times. So they must be reliable.

As it is always difficult to buy small presents for the coming holiday seasons, especially for a man who has “everything” he needs, I took a look in this shop. Many of you know Frank is into analogue photography nowadays, or better said this is his analogue revival (we bought a fridge especially for al the analogue stuff, and it’s already filled up), and this webshop offers indeed a lot of great gifts, ranging from cheap to expensive. But most of all (in this case) Photojojo sells a lot of analogue gadgets and has free shipping in the US. Because we planned on doing a workshops with our big “small flash” friends of ExpoImaging in Santa Cruz, I  already earned 12 USD for shipping, having the shipment sent to them (hey we are Dutch after all).

Ordering and paying was easy and funny, Photojojo really knows how to bring a smile to your face
I put the order under another name to do my order “undercover”. Unfortunately I paid through Franks PayPal account and Photojojo was so kind to state every item separately on the bill. So it was no longer a really surprise, but hopefully he has forgotten it by the time it’s Christmas.

Last week we finally were in Santa Cruz and there was a small white box waiting for us. It had a sticker on top as you can see below. Everybody was very curious about this dinosaur. Was it a warning for the delivery guy, to be very careful with the package, because of the ancient contents? Or just a joke? How will a dinosaur fit in this box? (or was it inflatable?) So we quickly opened the package and there was the packing list, or more like a degree: your photojojo gadgets are heeeeere! and at the end the amount in buckeroos!, and in USD also. At the very bottom there was a barcode with the text: we like you! I feel really appreciated now. My order was also in the box: the 3 film magnets, a telephoto kitchen timer, a set of filmstyle salt & pepper (really big) and a Moustache set; funny moustaches for shoots (like the coming up sweet 16 photoshoot party) and finally, behind all the filling paper a cute little dinosaur. Even smaller than the one on the box.

Buying from PhotoJojo.com is a really nice experience which you’ll never forget. And BTW I don’t have shares in this company.

Talk to you soon, see you online
