The rogue snoot in action

The rogue magnetic system is absolutely awesome and together with the flashbender it gives you a total solution that fits in almost every bag

The most recent addition is the snoot. A super flexible snoot that in speedlights can be used in 8 different ways.

Today some images I shot with the snoot and as a fill in light I’m using the dome with a blue gel.

Aisha a new model

Some results from the testshoot with Aisha.
She will be joining us as workshop model soon 😉

Testshoots are short 1-2 hour sessions in which we try different things that will give me a good idea about what would happen during a workshop.

When I’m looking for workshop models I actually prefer non experienced model. Not that a pro model can’t give you great results. But during workshops I strongly feel it’s an added layer of learning when you work with a starting model. Seeing most people have problems directing the model. (including me ;))

Ofcourse using our clickpropsbackdrops 😉

Results Klazienaveen seminar

Yesterday I was the guest speaker for the photoclub in Klazienaveen. I’ve been there before and its always a very motivated and fun club.

The theme was shooting with speedlights in the most boring locations. Literally the room of the seminar. And to make things even more challenging, the original model got sick. But luckily they found a new one and we could continue the seminar. (thx Reny)

All images where shot with the Nissin speedlights using the rogue flashbender and the magnetic system. It’s a super flexible system which makes it possible to take all these different kind of shots in a standard room while teaching 😉

Walk around the model

Using our #rogue black umbrella with sleeve on our model Claudia
Background : Emerald punch from clickpropsbackdrops

During the workshops I always give a lot of attention to this super simple “move” that will give you so much more out of your shoots.

By walking around the model you can get totally different looks from your shoot. The umbrella is awesome for this because by slightly tilting it you can have total control over the amount of light hitting the backdrop.

So the next time you do a shoot don’t shoot from one location…but move around. Sometimes just a little bit can make a huge difference.

And one more thing 😉

Because of the coming black Friday we start early
Order ANY #rogue product from www.frankdoorhof.com/shop and we will send you my brand new full length tutorial about speedlights for free.
