Nadine vs the Mannequin

Some time ago I mentioned on the blog that I had been shopping for a new model, well today you’re gonna meet Him/It. In our studio we have called him “Henkie” and today it’s the first time he is shared with you the readers…. well ok now let’s get serious.

During the advanced workshops it’s always a challenge for me to come up with something that is different from what you will find in other workshops, this often means that I will think more themed wise or add a lot of motion, dance, movement, jumps to the shots, but sometimes I will go one step further, as I did with this workshop with Nadine. Nadine is without a doubt the model with the most extreme styling and ideas I know, working with her we always call a “party” because it’s fun and full of surprises. When I told Nadine about our “new model” she was immediately full of ideas, and we decided to use one of the ideas for this workshop, and yes if you read it correctly there are more ideas… 🙂

Anja glamour

Glamour workshops are always special.
It’s one of the advanced workshops I teach, so there is a lot of room to play around with lights, poses, expressions etc. in other words the workshop has a very wide array of possibilities to play around. And when Anja is the model there is always a lot of fun which enhances the images of course.

But the most I just love to play with light.
Here I used the Elinchrom 9.5″ Wide Angle Reflector for Elinchrom, this is really a reflector everyone should own, it’s very cheap and it’s the best reflector to light a white background, but also rocks to create effects like this with lens flares. On the subject of using lens flares, I’m a big advocate to not create them in Photoshop but really try to shoot them “live”, this image is shot that way and for me the effect is much more convincing than when you just add a lens flare in Photoshop.

Today some of my favorite shots from last weeks glamour workshop with Floor.

Do remember that some of these images contain lingerie and might not be always safe for work areas.

Some outside and studio shots

Last week it was finally a nice day (we have had some very “flexible” weather over here :D)
And we decided to go out with Eva our model for that day.
Close to our studio there is a nice lake where I love to shoot so we decided it would be great to do some sets there.
Many thanks for Linda from Beautyfx for the makeup.
Some images could be considered Not Safe for Work (but there is no nudity of course).
