A Harley Davidson and a beautiful model and you get to see it all….

Frank Doorhof’s Digital Classroom, model shoot with a motor

Have you ever wondered how they got those shots?

Well, you’re going to love the Frank Doorhof’s Digital Classroom series.
In these broadcasts, we show you complete setups and tell you about the technique but most of all, we also talk about choosing the right angle, styling, adding elements in the set or for example, smoke, working with lens flares, colors, etc.

And this time we had a very special prop, a Harley Davidson.

In two completely different setups, I show you how to light the set and pose the model, but also how to light in zones and understand feathering and light placement for reflections and covering up light sources.

And the coolest part?
I did it all with the Geekoto strobes, the FlashBender in striplight configuration, and the Rogue Magnetic system.
A complete setup everyone can afford and still gives you awesome results both on location and in the studio.
See frankdoorhof.com/shop for the gear I use.

Here is the episode of the digital classroom.

Digital Classroom results

And of course, you also want to see the results.
Do realize these were all shot during a live broadcast, so not the perfect circumstances to get everything 100% right 😀

Behind the scenes during a photoshoot

Behind the scenes is always fun

Digital classroom is our online educational live stream.
Once a month we have a 2 hour broadcast from our studio where I explain different topics and lighting setups, always fun and interesting.

Today a digital classroom with Claudia.

ClickLive trade show workshops results Day 1 and 2 with Macy

Results from day 1 with Macy

In the previous blog we showed you the behind the scene video we shot during the ClickLive event.
Today in the blog some of the results from Macy.

The cool thing about the ClickLive event were the more than 10 portfolio pods which were all unique and build only with ClickBackdrops. Next to our booth we sponsored the portfolio booth with our Geekoto strobes and a fitting theme for me.

A great way to introduce our brand new collapsable striplight and awesome new lantern softbox.
Of course the booth was setup for the visitors, but I also took some shots myself 🙂

Do remember this is a portfolio booth and the model probably doesn’t play guitar.

The first ever ClickLive 2024 event in the UK travel vlog

Tradeshows are always special and so is Click Live 2024

And that’s why we love doing these travel vlogs. First it’s a nice diary for us, but it’s also a nice insight into what we do during these trips.

In this video we take you with us during the first ever ClickLive event in the UK.
During the trade show we had our own booth for IQwire, Rogue, ClickBackdrops, IQwire and of course Geekoto.
Next to our booth we sponsored a special portfolio booth with an awesome set totally fitting my personal taste, as soon as you see it you will understand.

During the video we also introduce one of our brand new products, an incredibly handy light stand that solves a problem we almost accepted.

You guys also often ask how it is traveling with a large RV, so I included a segment about what we experience during a trip along very narrow UK roads, and I mean VERY narrow.

We hope you enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed making it.
