Street & Travel Photography

Frank and his wife travelled a lot this summer. First to Sweden and in the summer to Johannesburg, South Africa and to Las Vegas and New York. In this episode, Frank & Annewiek tell and show you how they work on the road. They not only visited cities, but also a wildlife park, a community, flea markets and much more.

Not only will you see the amazing pictures Frank took, but he will also tell you what lenses he uses and how he took the shot, for example, some unusual characters. Did he ask, or not? He will explain how he sees the stories around him in an environment which isn’t always safe.

Of course, Frank shows a little retouch as well, to enhance his images, even more, Frank uses a set of tools in Photoshop. Sometimes he makes a photo more colourful and other times he makes the colours so bright, it looks a little cartoonish. Or gives them an old vintage look. He talks about skies, reflections, backlights and contrast. And about you should take the photos of the road (route 66) first.

When possibel Frank may go out at night. And photographed the lighted signs. You can shoot signs and logos anyway as a personal assignment. This is also great when your travel companions don’t want to go with you or if they are bored with seeing your camera all the time instead of your face.
