Solving the disappearing Google chromecasts

Do you experience Google chromecast or home speakers that just disappear, cast icons that sometimes work and sometimes don’t..?

Well this might be your solution.
It’s actually quite simple, and a one minute fix.

In this video I explain how to do it and make your Google Home experience flawless and stable

edit :
do take note that static IP addresses should be outside the dhcp pool. you can check this in your router. or use ip reservations. if you don’t have a busy network and don’t know what this is all is. ask someone with a bit more experience.

Electrifying the Doorhofs Part IV

In this episode it’s time to customize the car a little bit.
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the car, but somehow…the front is not really in sync with the rest of the car.

We looked at many solutions and options online and decided for a different approach and added a cool personal touch 😀

In this episode also some before and after images.

Barndoors and flags rock

I love aimed light.

Now one can ofcourse use grids which are without a doubt awesome. In fact almost all my lights use grids.

But sometimes you want even more and a spot effect is not enough. That’s when you can actually use flags (Manfrotto has some cool ones) or barn doors on your lightsources.

Barndoorns are officially designed against lensflares and spill. But when you use them a bit more aggressively you can really pinpoint that light.

In these shots I used a westcott icelight with barndoorns.
