Tip remember those shadows

Shadows are the soul of a shot

Shadows create threedimensionality

Shadows allow you to connect the subject to the background

Still a lot of people try to remove the shadows as much as possible from a shot. In my opinion having your model in front of a background without some form of shadow take away a lot of the realness of the shot. I do always try to make the shadow fit the image and pose ofcourse. For me the shadow is a vital part of what makes the model and background merge/blend together. 

So the next time you shoot your model close to a background make sure you don’t forget the “glue” that makes them fit…the shadows.
