Stacy Pearsall guestblog, war/Military photographer

I met Stacey briefly on the exhibition floor at Photoshop World, the day after I was going to demo for Elinchrom and found out that my model was not where I wanted her, so I had to improvise, from the corner of my eye I saw Stacey walking by and decided that she had to be my model for the demo, luckily for me she wanted to pose for me so in fact she saved my demos, thank you Stacey.
But that’s not all of course, for people not knowing Stacey, she is an amazing photographer but not fashion or glamour, no she does something that a lot of us would not dare to do, and yes she has been blown up several times (when I heard that I shivered) but she still does her job with passion, and man does she shoot images that I love. After seeing her demo at the Elinchrom booth I just had to have her over here for you guys to enjoy, so without any further words her she is, one of the best female military photographers in the world, Stacy Pearsall.

Photoshop ? or Camera ? or both ?

This is a question that has been asked so many times that I thought it would probably be fun to have a small blog post about it.
There are many thoughts among photographers ranging from “hey man we’ll fix that in Photoshop” to “Photoshop ?, nah straight out of the camera”.

Paris Carter guestblog NSFW on some images.

Today it’s time for a very special personal friend of mine.
During my stay in Orlando I asked on twitter if someone was willing to do a shoot and Paris responded that she liked my seminars at Photoshop world and would love to arrange some things for me, including arranging an amazing stylist and MUA. On the day of the shoot we got to know each other and we hit it off right away, Paris is not only a great photographer but a real nice person with loads of humor and a good sense of what people need. So I could not resist to ask her for a guestblog, I’m sure you will love her work and story, so here we go Paris…. the blog is yours.

Do remember that Paris is a glamour photographer so if you don’t want to see some occasional nudity don’t click to see the story, but you will be missing out on some fine photography.

Natural light photoshoot

As many of you know I love to use flash on location, but what many don’t realize is that I love to just go out with a model with one camera and lens, in this case the Canon 5D MKII and Canon 70-200f2.8 IS L and nothing more except the sun. I do have to add that I mostly do this with models who already have a great portfolio from me and don’t really need something because with natural light only there always is a risc that things don’t turn out the way you want, however to be honest when you know how to search for the light in 99% of the cases the series will turn out great.
