Some news and a new video

Photoshop Vegas confirmed
It was actually already a bit known but I never bring something as new as long as it’s not confirmed, but today it was confirmed. I will be present as instructor at Photoshop World in Vegas. Looking forward to meeting up with the team again and have some fun (and midnight burgers :D)
When you visit Photoshop World Vegas let me know.

Video Professional Imaging 2011
Yeah it’s been a while but it was very hectic over here, right after the Pro Imaging we started preparing for Photoshop World and when we arrived back from that spectacle it was Belgium. In between we found some time to edit the video from the Professional Imaging 2011, so here it is. Oh, I added some remarks during the video, never did that before so I hope you enjoy them 😀

Photoshoot Jessica (testsession)

At the moment I’m hard at work to find some new models for the Dutch workshops.
I often use sites like ModelMayhem, Dutchheaven etc. to find the models and of course sometimes we just find someone on the street. Jessica found the casting call on ModelMayhem and send me some images and her ideas and to be honest I loved her images, so I invited her for a so called “testsession”. In these testsessions we do a few setups and see how the models pose and perform in front of the camera. If I need a lot of coaching the model is often not so perfect for the workshops, which by the way does not mean it’s a bad model, but posing in a workshop is something else than in a 1:1 session with a photographer.

Well to make a long story short, meet Jessica.
Jessica will be one of the new models for our workshops, she will start out with the fashion workshops and perhaps in the future she will also get into the glamour workshops.

Bob Rosinsky guestblog, dog photographer

Some people you meet and you feel right at home, Bob is one of those.
When I visited Florida to film my videos for Kelby I posted online that I would be visiting and who would be interested in a meet and greet and get out for some diner maybe. Bob was one of the first to respond and because he was on the route we decided to visit him on our way to Tampa. We were invited to a nice BBQ and a nice swim and nothing sounded better after the flight. However the time we choose to visit Florida was during a heatwave, rain and thunderstorms so swimming was a no go. We joked that we would that another time.
Bob and I kept in touch and when I was invited to do Photoshop world we of course visited Bob and his family again.
This time the weather was better so we had a great day, he had to kick us out of his house so to say 😀 (yeah that’s a joke there is no end to their hospitality). I absolutely LOVE the way Bob shoots his dogs and I call it dogportraits because he really nails the shot and gives the images something that really bring the dogs to live for me, I asked him to do a guestblog a while ago and am happy to introduce to you guys, one of my dear friends and great dog photographer Bob Rosinsky.

By the way make sure to check out Bob’s blog he recently started at http://topdogimaging.net/blog/

Meeting with Rick Sammon and shooting….

Some people you meet and you know immediately they are “real”, Photographer Rick Sammon is one of those people.
We met up at Photoshop World in Orlando and there was an immediate “click” we both are passionate about what we do and also in our approach to teaching there are many topics we think the same about. When hanging out after Photoshop World it was soon decided that Rick and his wife Susan would visit us during their trip to Europe, and Monday it was time for the meeting. As you can imagine I was really looking forward to this meeting and everyone who has seen Rick’s work knows why 😀
