info about this episode:

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
We themed this Digital Classroom “Christmas” and Frank will show you had to make better pictures with a Christmas tree, but also with some movement throwing snow (fake of course). The model is Nadine, and she is known for her crazy styling! Frank will show you the light setups, how he meters the main light and take the shot.

Do you know how to shoot your Christmas lights right? How to expose when there is a lot of lights & whites? But still keeping detail? How to make a perfect Christmas picture with your tree? And of course, how to retouch it and make it even more special? Check out this episode of Digital Classroom, a free, interactive live online broadcast straight from our studio. You can participate by asking online questions on YouTube or FaceBook live

PS: do you want your Christmas photo critiqued? Sent it to Frank and maybe he’ll tell you live what he thinks about it.

In a 120 minute live shoot with our model you will see:
* preparation for a photo shoot
* styling
* workflow
* setting up the lights

Results from the workshop Classical lighting with Danique

Today some of the results from the workshop “Classical lighting” with our model Danique.
In this workshop the key ingredient is to take inspiration from the 20-80’s and combine this with a modern twist.

Or in other words, using flags to create nice focussed light, filmlike tonings and of course some really nice lightplay on the model with hard shadows.
It’s a crazy fun workshop with a lot of technique.
