My blog, although I don’t see myself as a blogger but as a Photographer I will try to blog some interesting material during the weeks.
Expect at least 2 updates a week.

Images day 2 of the Ultimate weekend with Claudia

I just started my new project #VintageLensOnNew
A project where I challenge myself (and you guys) to shoot mainly with old vintage lenses. Not because my Sony or Sigma lenses aren’t good, but to actually play with different looks, and also to “proof” that lenses that are sold for anything between 5-100 euro’s on fleamarkets can be incredibly good and cool. Although I have to add some of the Leica R lenses I use are a bit more expensive.

At the moment I still use these lenses manual, which with the Sony’s is actually a breeze. It’s slower than AF of course but manual focus is helped by peaking, zoom options and of course the EVF itself, and this…. well makes it a lot easier.

Today some images I shot during the Ultimate weekend day 2 with Claudia.

The first set was in the studio and shot with the Sony A7RIII and the Zeiss Jena 135mm

What can go wrong with a live broadcast BTCD May 9 2018

In todays episode we take you with us during digital classroom, and this time…. well a lot of things went wrong, but we solved it and I’m of course sharing the solutions with you.

So if you’re TB3 doesn’t work after the windows update… well check the video.

I also show you my vintage lenses, and we talk about cosplay, it’s a jampacked episode. Enjoy

If you liked this video give it a big thumbs up and subscribe so we can keep on making them.

Digital Classroom, May 9 3pm CEsT

In this 2 hours live stream you can participate in a live shoot with a model. Frank takes you through his whole workflow. He shows you the preparation of a shoot, setting up the lights, metering the light, taking the shot, selection, retouch and much more. You can ask questions in the chatbox on YouTube or Facebook.

You can also send in your storytelling pictures and Frank will critique them. Mail them to [email protected]

Theme: Cosplay

Cosplay is a Japanese word, meaning the art of performance. Cosplayers dress up as a special character from a movie, comic, role-playing game or as a fantasy figure.

In this episode, we invited Eandora, a Dutch cosplayer with amazing costumes. Frank will show you how to photograph a model in costume including all details. You will see the lighting setup, coaching the model and taking the shot. Retouching is also included, of course on a calibrated monitor from BenQ.

Get the WOW factor in your picture by adding smoke, color, accessories and maybe composite your model in another world, or don’t fake it but use a Light Blaster background instead. Because a great picture is all about storytelling. And this is, among other things what you’ll learn in these 2 hours. You can participate by asking questions in the chatbox on YouTube or Facebook Live.

Join us in this 2-hour free, live, online interactive show on Wednesday, April 4, 3PM CEST
