Digital Classroom, November 20, 3 PM CEST
Frank Doorhof’s Digital Classroom is sponsored by BenQ & Rogue.
This is a live, interactive, free, online broadcast from our studio in Emmeloord. And this time
Frank will show you our new brand of vinyl backdrops from Click Prop Backdrops, made in the UK. We sell those, and there will be a signature Frank Doorhof series soon, called Project F.
In this episode, Frank will show you how to make completely different images with the same background and model. So, if you want to know more about lighting models and getting inspired don’t miss this episode!
A lot of our students, guests and clients but also our online viewers like our hand-painted backgrounds. These backdrops are designed to be photographed in different ways. But if you don’t want or cannot paint your studio walls, you’ll have to find another background. And that is where the Click Prop Backdrops come in handy. These vinyl backgrounds are light weighted and easy to transport. Available in different sizes for half or full body or even multiple persons. There are also some designs with a floor attached. But this time we show the L and XL designs. L = 7’x9,5’ (2,13x290m), XL = 8’x9,84’ (3×2,44m)
Our model Lisanne will pose in front of a background and Frank will show you different ways to light the model and background. Of course, you can change the light in post processing but Why Fake it When You Can Create it, right? As always Frank explains the light setup, why he uses this modifier, the metering of the light, camera settings, coaching of the model and much more.
Because we have several cameras in the studio you can see the whole setup. We zoom in when Frank takes the shot and show you via “picture in picture” the results. We also improved our desktop resolution so you can now see better which settings he uses when retouching.
You can talk to Frank & the crew LIVE in the chat on YouTube or Facebook.
