Calibration problems on your monitor

Ok I’m getting several distressed people on my mail and social media about the new benq monitor which can’t be calibrated without a nasty greenish tint.
Now this goes for ALL monitors

Check your video input levels.

Most monitors are setup correctly out of the box but some are not, well it’s actually not wrong… anyway don’t want to get to technical.
The problem is in the video input settings

For video set this on : 16-235 or RGB Limited

For PC/Mac use set this on : 0-254 or RGB expand
This will solve all your problems.

If you use a BD player or a video input use the first

If you use it as a desktop use the second.
The green tint is actually not the only problem. You’re also severely crushing the whites and blacks.
Check this on all your monitors especially when you are not sure about white/black detail or weird color casts.
You can find it in most monitors under hdmi or video input settings. And yes this also goes for mini display port.
