Pre-Con with Joe McNally

The first day of PSW is always Pre-Con day.
Last time I decided to join Moose Peterson to shoot some amazing planes, but when I heard Joe McNally would be shooting some Cirque du Soleil artists… well I did not have to wonder which Pre-Con to join of course.

 

Today some of the images and BTS shots from that day.
Joe let the students shoot with a mix of small flash, big flash and constant light. I did not do a lot of shooting (I was there not as an attendee) but I did manage to get some interesting shots, and let’s be real…. these are of course all amazing artists.

    Hello Frank: The two last images, has the background been blurred in processing, or is this shallow DOF that makes it so smooth? Looks like a very fun workshop with Joe!
