Nadine outside in the snow
Now I don’t know about you guys but I love snow, and as soon as it’s there I want to do something outside…. most of the times the model is prepared and has clothing that fits the situation, however this time…. well let’s say we first set up the shot and got Nadine as late as possible, and it was COLD….. So hats of to our model.
Now the first image was shot with strobes.
But I’m always a strong advocate for not only using strobes but if you’re shooting outside always also take some natural light shots, and most of the times… well I like the natural light shots more in this case to be honest, but the fun thing is… I have both so my client can always choose, and remember it’s a little bit of extra work but it often pays back enormously.

It’s funny the difference the light makes on the hair on the first compared to no light in the second. That’s reason enough to use light alone in my opinion. But depends on taste of course.
With strobes everything looks different 😀 that’s why it’s always a good idea to experiment and choose after wards, you’re there anyway 😀
