Release party new DVD

Making an instructional DVD is always a long process, first we have to think about the material, than the way to present, some things that need to be on it, somethings that can be on it and so forth. In this case this process was a bit easier.

I’ve already released 8 instructional DVDs and for the 9th I wanted something completely different,  so when the workshops in Boston were booked we decided it would be great to film these live while I was working with the group, including the Q&A we always do before the workshops abroad. The locations were superb and the group was also great so this was a great opportunity. And indeed everything worked out as planned. However because I’m not a slow talker and a lot of my students are of course from the Netherlands we decided it was necessary to add Dutch subtitles, well this was a LOT more work than we anticipated, so although we planned for a release 5 weeks after we returned from Boston it now ended up being a just before christmas release, but we managed it 🙂

For this DVD we did a lot of things differently in comparison to the other DVDs, first of all we filmed everything live including my voice, but also with two cameras, to make the viewing experience a bit more interesting. With the old DVDs we always filmed the whole scene and edited this later together with different scenes from different moments, because now everything was filmed live we decided we needed two cameras, and to be honest the results are indeed great and very different from the older DVDs, without a doubt something we are continuing.

But not only that changed, it’s the first DVD that is done in English as main language, and also the first one that uses subtitles. And because we were in the mood of change we also decided it was time for a different, much “cooler” package, and that’s something that I really fell in love with, when I got the first sample I was literally as happy as a child, it’s awesome.

Because this is a rather big release and it’s totally different from the rest we hosted our very first release party for the DVD, in the past the DVDs came in and we just send them out and that was that, however this time we invited some close friends and some business colleagues to make it a bit of a special happening. The first sample was handed to me by a good friend and great photographer (also from the Netherlands) Pim van der Maden.

After a wonderful speech (thanks Pim) I was handed the first copy and to be honest that is indeed a very special moment. The DVDs are all shipped now and I hope you guys will have them before christmas.

Thought about it, but we ship worldwide, and to be honest nothing beats a real product with prints etc. And we kept the pricing real low for the products so to be honest it was not a good idea I think.

Looking forward to this new release Frank. Thank you for all you do with your methods, and unique ‘one of a kind’ style and knowledge. You make me think.. And that’s good.  As much success as you so richly deserve after all the years of hard work.

Wishing you and your family the very best of health and happiness this holiday and the new year.

If you only need the new DVD you can mail to [email protected] and we can work something out, however when you order more we have to use package services and they charge a bit more than we charge in the webstore, so there is no possibility to lower that.

However when it fits through the mailbox we can charge a much lower price, that’s also why we changed the package for the new DVD.
