Styling….Part I
I’ve already talked about the styling in a photo shoot many times. Simply put it’s easy to just put a model in front of the camera with a jeans and top, often a photo can be much more interesting when you add a little bit of styling to the image. Let’s take for example this image from Corine:
In the next image Corine choose an outfit that reminded me of the 20’s with a modern twist.
Although I shot the image on a pure white background, I already knew I wanted something a bit more vintage. In this case I used NIK Colorefex 4 and one of it’s vintage filters to “spice” the image up, to match a more vintage feel.
Styling often is regarded as just pointing towards the clothing or makeup or adding accessories.
For me however the choice of the color tint in Photoshop is a vital part of the whole process, as is of course the choice of light.
Tomorrow part II.
I LOVE the hi-key work, looks extremely good for my taste 🙂
Completely agree – colour is so much more than the coordinated elements in the frame, it goes all the way through to the final image.
You got it.
