The LEICA M9, a camera that carries the legend of Leica M cameras into the digital age.
Leica Singapore and RedDotPhoto were kind enough to lend us the New Leica M9-P for one (1) day.

We made some few clips and a hands on review as well on the camera. It was fun.
We also managed to use it in a fashion shoot to get the feel of it.

PROS:
Superb image quality and optics. Body is definitely build to last. Higlights are not blowing
up easily compared to a Canon 5D MKII. Photos are 300dpi by default. You need to wait 18 months before
you can order the 50mm .95 Lens. The best system for photojournalist and street photographers.

CONS:
Expensive & heavy for its size. If you are used to AF cameras like CANON DSLRs or NIKON
DSLRs you will struggle with the focusing.

Conclusion:
The Leica M9-P image quality is way beyond I imagine. My zones bumped from 5 to 6.5.
My highlights are not blowing up like the way they used to in some lighting conditions. The optics and the way
the body was built definitely can take extreme weather conditions.

It takes some time to get used to its focusing system. Once you get comfortable with it.. you will be able to
enjoy the richness and the rendition of the images that this camera produce. It’s a little bit pricey for an average
photography hobbyist and enthusiast. Consider this as an investment but how would you compare a Jaguar to a
Toyota I guess it depends on a the users discretion.

The biggest debate is WILL YOU BUY THE CAMERA? If you like photojournalism or street photography this camera
will impress you.
