Double trouble…. and piercing eyes
Yesterday it was time for a small session I promised to one of my MUAs.
The theme was Piercing eyes, materials and a duo shoot (which I labeled double trouble).
We started out with the piercing eyes shot.
For this we covered the face to let only the eyes do the “talking”, as lightsetup the Deep Octa with Lighttools grid was used. Somehow I really love this accessory, it gives the deep octa an incredible direction and the light quality is still stunning without getting to harsch, I can highly recommend this modifier to everyone who owns a deep octa.
As you can see I kept the photoshop work very basic and harsch, I think it fits the photo, a real glamourous look would have missed the point I had in mind.
We also did a more 3/4 length with this theme, but I liked the close up better myself.
After this we changed the mood to a more 1001 night warrior princess as you can see in the backstage video, there are no shots from that I can post in the blog, they were done for the model.
The third theme was based on a theme that we have done many times but still is so much fun to do. By using white cloth from both sides of the model running towards the camera we first did a few shots, however for me it did not work as powerful as I hoped, as soon as we changed the position of the cloth to the sides it did click for me as you can see here.
And for the end we decided to use both models to create a little double trouble. Posing two models is always fun and creativity flows and often ends in the more “uncomfortable” poses as you can see here.
And here a backstage video shot with the iPhone4 and edited on the iPhone with iMovie.
#1 and #2 are not my cop of thea. But #3 and #4 are SuperB. The light is great!
Great stuff as always Frank. The grid has a great falloff. I’m loving it. You are pretty much forcing me to buy it. I’m also considering a Mola Euro, with grid as well.
Don’t know the Mola Euro, but this is indeed very nice.
