My blog, although I don’t see myself as a blogger but as a Photographer I will try to blog some interesting material during the weeks.
Expect at least 2 updates a week.

How to pose hands

I think that one of the questions a lot of people struggle with (including me) is “how do you pose hands?”

Let’s be honest we all have them, and normally they are incredibly handy (pun intended) but in a photo…. well that’s where the problems often arise, what do you do with them, what do you show, or accept not to be shown, do you want them to draw attention, or not…

In todays video I dive into the topic “posing hands” and share some of my tips.
Do remember that we film these videos in one take including the images, so don’t expect stellar results, it’s just to share some ideas and hopefully help you guys.

Do you have any questions, feel free to ask them.
This video was actually created because someone on Patreon asked about it. And that’s the cool thing about our Patreon, I don’t only share behind the scenes images and videos there, but we also do a monthly portfolio review and questions are often answered within 24 hours (often even faster) plus the members help each other out too. Sounds cool?

Introducing the Rogue magnetic system

Sometimes we get products that are just nice and a cool addition to the rest.
But sometimes…. well they really change the way you (can) work.
And today the video in which I introduce a system like this.

The Rogue magnetic system for round flashes and speedlights.
An after the flashbender Rogue released another product that is clearly designed with the photographer in mind. Which for me means, portable/light, easy to work with and most of all not limiting the creativity of the user.

So let’s go.

Sony XW series

As some of you might know besides being a photographer, Annewiek and I also run a Home Theater company.
And we were honoured to be able to take the images for the new Sony XW series projectors.
I tried to do it slightly different than just product shots, and give it a bit more “mood”

Today I can finally share the final results.

Using lens flares in larger sets

In todays episode of Digital Classroom I share a new tip in the “how did I do that series”
In this series we take a look at photos I took during the workshops and I explain the whole setup including the ideas behind them.

Today a problem we all experience, when working with lens flares, sometimes the set can be pretty large and than it becomes more tricky to get the lens flare the way we want it. Especially when we also want to light the background and model.

In this video I show you how it can be solved with proper placement and the KF Concept Black mist filters.
