Frank, in the first photo wich light scheme do you use? I think a three light?
I’m curious to the light setup as well, the 1st photo is my favorite. Although I’m assuming Frank covers that in the seminar and won’t hand out that info here.
I have two strobes, usually try to do headshots with a ‘clamshell’ setup, but to produce an image like this I would think one at 4 o’clock, other at 8 o’clock both aiming at 45 degree angle to subject…..and a reflector directly in front/below the model aiming up.
I think could be two or three light setup. Two light could be a strip light on the camera left and an octa on camera right e bit upper than model and aiming down to her. Three light could be two strip on model left and right and an octa in front of her. Only Frank can explane us!!!!! Hey Frank are you around?
1.50mtr octa in front, two accents and one gridded strobe on the back.
Fairly simple setup.
Geweldige serie portretten. Vooral de 1e vind ik briljant!
Very well done Frank! As always!
thanks.
The model’s skin in the 1st photo is just beautiful. I am sure she has nice skin naturally, but did you also use skin softening software? Did you use either the Portrait Professional or Portraiture software that you recommend? Thank you.
Mostly imagenomic Portraiture, or NIK, but I also very sometimes use portrait pro studio and OnOne perfect portrait.
It all depends on my mood and the skin of the model, best overall is I think Imagenomic, budget wise NIK because there is so much delivered with Color Efex4.
That’s my wife. I took her photos using one light the other day… They came out pretty good. Unfortunately I didn’t have light meter, so I had to burn a few frames before I get the correct exposure 😉
From your collection here, my fav is obviously the second one 🙂
Lovely shot, and love the vintage touch.
