Castle workshop Belgium

Today it was time for the castle workshop in Duffel Belgium.
Later this week I will write an article about the workshop with some techniques explained, but that is better done when I’ve retouched the images. We’ve just arrived back home and I already did the selection and there are some nice images there, so I can’t wait to work on those and share them here. As usual we shot some backstage video material with the HF11 and of course the iPhone 4 (man do I love that phone), the iPhone 4 material I edited on the way back home and just finished uploading it, so here you can enjoy the video first. Next week I will write the article with technique etc. Remember these videos are just for fun and are shot and edited on a smartphone so don’t expect more than just that.

Do you know what I would like to start seeing on photography web sites that use third party music. I’d like to see a short statement “music licensed from…”

It would help reenforced to web users that music like photography is not free and must be licensed.

    What do you think ?

      Well it depends.
Normally I use quicktracks or in other words free music.
As far as I know for non commercial use you can use in some occasions music, but it depends per country.
I own all the music I use on the iPhone 4 movies (which are the only ones I use non quicktracks music on).
Do realize however that in the Netherlands we pay a rather substantial amount of money to a company called buma, plus we pay money per cd/DVD we buy called home copy addition, which is a bit weird because I never copy music. I do buy what I like.

So I’m a bit double in this case.
For the iphone4 videos I see no harm in using the occasional “commercial” tracks, that’s also why YouTube let’s it go I guess with advertising. For the real videos which you see on the DVDs, other YouTube channel and sometimes during the seminars all music is royalty free or with permission of the bands.

I know music is not free, but with the amount of money we pay in the Netherlands to the buma, CDs, DVDs etc I don’t feel any remorse to sometimes use a piece of music I love.

When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get 4 emails with the same comment. Is there any means you may take away me from that service? Thanks!nWebsite: HCG Wholesale

Got to love big time Nightwish! Just to make those unhappy readers happy give credit to the band playing in the short video.
Is that your latest outfit from the States?
Can’t wait for the post showing the final pictures!
