Graciella 14 September 2010
Today Graciella was in our studio for a portfolio session, and we wanted to do something a bit different at the end of the session. It was the first time Graciella was in our studio but I guess it won’t be the last time.
In this blog post you will find the results of the session and also a small iPhone4 backstage video we shot during the shoot.
We started out with a pink theme which was the idea of Graciella herself.
After that we switched to a bit more low key settings and we ended with something I’ve been wanting to do for some time, working with hard backlights and lots and lots of smoke. I think the end results are very close to what I had in mind, but it will be something I want to get back to in the future.
I will probably also start using Graciella for the workshops in 2011, so make sure you book one when they come online 😀
So let’s show some images from the first setup.
And here are some from the more low key set.
And finally we finished todays session with some smoke and hard backlights.
And the iPhone 4 backstage video of this session.
On other news:
As you maybe have seen on Twitter our painters are working in the studio again the coming days to make a new part of the studio suitable as backgrounds. While we are in Belgium for workshops and on the Photokina they will be working to finish the project which is a bit larger than previous ones but I think when it’s done it’s gone rock. Lots of structure and some unique looks 😀
Feel free to share and comment.
You’re getting some great use out of that lighttools grid. Great stuff!
I think you should bring her to the junkyard, like Corin. For a second round.
Thanks. The grid is indeed pretty awesome 😉
Lovely model, particularly like the low key images, really nice work
