Mastering the Model Shoot Ultimate Workshop Weekend is the experience of a lifetime! This weekend is aimed at (foreign) photographers who want to learn everything about model photography and go in-depth into lighting techniques, from KelbyONE educator Frank Doorhof.  Frank explains the lighting setup and you can shoot the model too with the guidance of Frank.

This is the most intense workshop in which you will get all the answers you always wanted about model photography.

On the first day we will shoot in de photo studio and on the second day we go outside to shoot with a model. Sunday we’ll visit the Orchideeenhoeve to shoot the jungle (without a model), or we go to Urk or Amsterdam, or maybe the Waterloopbos.

In 2 full days (and evening) we go through every part of a successful model photo shoot.

Each day we start with a Q&A which will be the base on which Frank builds the rest of the day. You will learn exactly what you want and there will be no questions left unanswered. This is a unique style of teaching that has proven to be incredibly successful for the attendees and a challenge for Frank as an instructor 😀

The workshop is aimed at all levels of photographers. The group is very small and with this way of teaching, there is literally something there for everyone. We discuss all topics during the weekend and the aim is not just to show you lighting setups, but to REALLY turn “that switch” about creativity and really understand lighting and workflow.

Day 1
Full studio day from 10:00-1600

Some important topics we will cover at least :
Metering, workflow, color management, coaching the model, building a complete set and styling it, vintage portraiture, glamour photography, high-end fashion, styling ideas, working with clients, adding movement, using smoke, adding gels, going from ok to WOW and much much more.

Day 2:

Full day from 10:00 till around 7 PM

We go out in Emmeloord to find cool places to shoot your model. Learn about combining strobes and ambient lights. And how to find attractive locations.

Evening 2:
We order dinner and have a nice dinner while we chat about everything (and photography)

This is your chance to hang with Frank and his team!

Day 3:

Starting from 10:00

Together we visit the Orchideeenhoeve in Luttelgeest to shoot the jungle and its animals.
