We all have dreams
And when I was in my teens it was Marshall.
So when I started with my first band my JCM-800 combo was not enough.
So I bought a second hand Marshall cab at Big One in Zwolle.
And yeah I traded that JCM-800 for a 90001 tube pre-amp and 8008 Valvestate.
I sometimes wish I could go back in time.
I always kept that Marshall cab.
And when it was time to build a home studio I got it back from the attic and installed it in a hush box.
The thing I did notice was how insanely better the cab sounded compared to another Marshall cab I bought (to save my own).
So I opened it up, and that made it pretty clear 😀

Nice speakers do a lot.
Ever since it’s been in a hush box with a selection of mics.
But recently I bought the Slate digital SL-2 and that is now my main mic. Often using a blend of the SM57 and R121 emulation.
But before we build it into the hush box I did use it a few times as a prop during photoshoots.
It’s a nicer way to show the front of the cab 😀
