A Quick tip for today
Expression is everything.
You can have stellar lighting, awesome styling etc. But if the model looks like she’s bored (or he) it’s all a lot less dynamic unless that’s the look you’re going for.
So make your model express herself 😉 and have some fun. Or maybe anger or make them scream (preferably without making sound)
You will see that your session goes from zero to hero 😉

In todays episode it’s all about that magical lighting from the past. In this workshop I explain the techniques and looks from the glamour days of photography. But that’s not just it…. I also translate it into the 2019s, meaning we mix the old looks with new techniques to create stunning images with loads of shadows and cool focus effects.
When you learn to master your shadows you’ll quickly find out that your arsenal of options grows very quickly

Today some of my favorite images from the workshop this weekend with Claudia.
Shot were all done with the lensbaby composer series (the 35 and 85) and I really can’t tell you guys enough how much I recommend checking these babies (pun intended) out, it will give you so much more creativity and really push you to think about every shot.
Of course lit by our Hensel strobes and Lighttools 32% gray grids.
And one image was shot with the same setup but this is the Leaf Credo 60 on a Phase One DF+ body.
LOVE that combination, it’s an older back but it’s so sweet in detail and dynamic range I just can’t let go of it….
