Thanks to TWiT I am “meeting” so many pros that I never thought possible! Your interview was awesome! I learned so much in a short time, and will look at “flash” photography in a whole new way thanks to you.

I just finished watching your interview on TWIT.tv (recorded), and wanted to thank you for the excellent presentation. Keep up the good work. I’m putting your web site into the “visit regularly” list.

After being attached to my meter for over 20 years, I’m so happy to have a true ally in the methods.

Your one of the best of our time.

Great interview Frank, I liked the results of the demo’s too. I should be more brave and use just one light. The only thing that went too quick was the last part with the white background, how did you get to that? 36+36=72 = 1 stop?

Every stop is double the amount of light.
So when you measure 18% gray you go 2.5 stops up for pure white and 4.5 stops down for pure black (approximately).

That makes a lot of sense, my way was to just meter the subject and add 2 stops to the background lights instead of metering it. I think this will give better results.
