Without a doubt something I love to do is to create a mood in a shot.
Much to my surprise I get a lot of questions were people show me totally “flat flashed” images and ask me “how do I go from this to your work, which filter do you use ?” well…… the magic Frank Doorhof filter is still in beta and ….. well ok I will tell you in this blog post.
The advanced II workshop is always a special one.
In the other workshops there is a lot of attention for the theory and bringing this into practice in the second part of the workshop. With Advanced II we do it slightly different. There is of course a piece of theory before the shoot but this is because otherwise we would have to wait for the MUA which is always present with this workshop. In the Advanced II workshop there are no boundaries we have to stick to, everything goes and this is also often the workshop were I start to freak with light, or in other words try out new things……
A long time ago in a galaxy………
Well ok.
A while ago I used a static page as my website and a SMF installation as my blog. The blog grew slightly and people wanted to ask questions, this is why I used the forum software so that was made easy. Over time however the blog grew more and more into a forum and I slowly changed it to that. There were some great ideas for the forum like sharing the images done during the workshops but somehow I never pushed it through.
Last year I started using wordpress for my site and that meant that I was given the opportunity to have a real blog, which I decided to build first. At the moment the blog is updated almost every day with news items, reviews, photo shoots and of course the great guest bloggers. But the forum slowly disappeared to the background, it was updated, there were visitors but the blog grew much faster than the forum which of course is understandable when you don’t give attention to the forum. Well I’ve decided to change this. As of today the forum can be found on a new location http://www.doorhof.nl/forum and will get a new look.
So head over and register and start the discussion with each other, ask questions, share images and start building the community 😀

Yesterday I taught the glamour workshop, this time Lisanne was our model.
It was the first time Lisanne did the glamour workshop and I have to say she did great and will be back without a doubt, but you can judge that yourself by the images of course.
Finding models for the glamour workshops is something that seems to be harder and harder for me, I guess I’m too picky the last few years :D. Lisanne I met during a Dutch Heaven meet and greet and I immediately loved her attitude and looks, an appointment was made a few weeks later for a testshoot and she did one standard workshop before the glamour workshop yesterday.
