A duo shoot…. Maybe NSFW for some.

I love to do things I normally don’t do.
Because we’re always busy with workshops and seminars it’s often very difficult to find some time to shoot something for my own portfolio, but sometimes…….

app. 2 years ago I made a deal with Katherina that we would work something out and she would do a shoot with me, yes you read it correctly it took us two years to plan our session, our agendas were not exactly compatible so to speak. But when we found a spot it was quickly decided we would do a “sexy” but “fashionlike” duo shoot with an extra model. After a small post on a modelsite we decided Kim would fit the bill (and she did).

As with most of my portfolio sessions the MUA for the shoot was Linda Rutgers from www.beautyfx.nl I always love to work with Linda so it promised to be a great shoot.

I started out with some solo shots for Kim (which you will see first in this blog post), and at the moment Katherina was done with the makeup we started doing the duo part of the photoshoot. For the first scene we used a white wall and a simple lightsetup with the Deep Octa and the Lighttools grid. This always gives a very nice contrasty image and I love to use that combo.

Nadine and Marie

This weekend it was time for an Advanced III workshop with Nadine, and a Workshop I with Marie.
With the Advanced III workshop the theme is outside photography so when the weather allows we will always try to do some part of the workshop outside. This time however half of the group preferred to stay inside, or do a small set outside. Well actually I can’t blame them because it was not warm outside. However being the teacher I am, there is no cold or whatsoever that will keep me from doing the workshop…… 😀

Well if it was only the cold this would be true, but in this case it was not only the cold but more the ice.
Do you know Holiday on ice ?
Well this was more like workshops on ice.
It was incredibly slippery outside, imagine Nadine in High Heels with a red wig (as you can see in the images), a group of photographers almost skating over the road and you can understand why we got some audience that were looking rather puzzled about what we were doing (and they were right, what was I thinking), however my moto is very simple, “everything for a good shot” and I would not have wanted to miss these.

Bad Boyz is a Dutch band that has been on X-factor and got very far with rave reviews.
Both guys were a blast to work with and I think we will see much more of them.
