Breaking news from Elinchrom ;)
As many requested here a small video from the iPhone app, there also is a iPad version.
You can do everything with the quadra what you want including modeling lights etc.
Also a quick look at the gossen light meter with Elinchrom support, and it has a reflective meter. I will look more into this later.

Wondering what type of interface it uses on the Quadra side, WiFi or Bluetooth? or other?
So further research shows there is a newer Quadra RX model that this works with. so not sure if it can be made to work on the older first version Quadra. Oh well… I seem to always buy too soon… I missed out on the newer BXRi and now on the new Quadra RX 🙁
This is aimed at the Quadra RX. After all, they DID introduce the wireless firmware option for a reason i’m guessing. So it seems an upgrade from the non RX version may possibly need to be done.
The software works for all RX systems, so also the RXspeed/BXri if I’m correct.

There will always be updates, please contact your dealer and see what he can do for you, but to be honest I don’t think it’s a reason to upgrade, it’s great it’s possible.
Connection is via WIFI.
how is the protocol via WiFi? How do the RX units connect to this?
The same way they do now with the dongle software.
