Video : It’s alive

You might already know if you have been following my work for a while, I’m a huge horror and SF fan.
Universal monsters are among my favorite monster movies of all time.
So during Halloween we always try to do something special with the photography, and over the years we have shot a lot of awful, bloody, scary and creepy images.

When Grok started creating videos for free, I decided it would be fun to create a few low res videos, stitch them together and create a short video clip for Halloween.

There was one problem, I did not have a track.

First of course select the monster I thought when I looked in the mirror…. and of course it became Frankenstein.
Now that we knew the monster I needed a track.

I saw a lot of adverts for a vocal plugin that did “not use AI” but real singers that are 100% tweak able.
You can even sing yourself, pitch correct and use this inside VSynth.
With a little bit of help from Ai I had a midi line for the vocals that I liked, imported that into VSynth and after that it was typing in every word, changing expression etc.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome but it’s A LOT of work.
I understand that people use software like Suno and as a base I think it can work great, but in the end, being able to change every single syllable is also great and very satisfying.

In the end I felt like Frankenstein, but after hearing it again after a while it does bring a smile to my face.

About Ai:
In my photography and music I don’t like to use Ai for the creative process.
However it can help with the creative process, and as long as you rewrite, replay, change, edit etc. it to your final product I think Ai can shave of time from the creative process we don’t like.

Most of my covers are created from an Ai base.
I do change almost everything after that, and give it the look I want, but for me it keeps it fun for the time I spend on it. I much prefer to spend that time on music or photography, or my family of course.
